In 1980, at the fi rst edition of the “TROFEO DELLE CONTRADE“ (The Districts Trophy), the typical night-time Nordic ski race along the main roads, the “Gruppo Amatori Fondo” divided the town into districts. Until then there were no districts; the only distinction made was among the various areas linked to the main churches of S. MARIA (Spazzon district), of S. ROCCO (Trùzz district) and S. ANNA (Trepál district). Now, however, Livigno has eight districts: Centro, Comunin- Pemont, Forcola, Ostaria, Plan da Sora, Saroch, Teola, Trepalle.
