The "Drossa gallery" (3.4 kilometres long), which opened in 1965, was excavated under "Munt la Schera" and enabled Livigno to communicate with "Punt la Drossa" in the Swiss National Park. It was originally built only for the transportation of the materials necessary for the construction of the dam., now it's open to the public.

The opening of the gallery was of notable importance for the valley's economy. Indeed, it opened a way of communication between Livigno and Switzerland, easing and incouraging the flow of tourists.
