In designing the new signpost system, particular attention has been paid to the safety of trekkers. All the signposts of the mountains of Livigno are UNIVOCALLY CODED AND MAPPED. In case of necessity, you can communicate your precise position to the rescue stations by reading the code on the back of the nearest signpost.
